I love discovering social media being used in interesting ways, and here’s a great one. In Los Angeles, California, there are two trucks that serve Korean BBQ Tacos from the roadside. For many parts of the world, this is common practice.

What’s unique about how Kogi operate though, is their use of a Twitter account to let their 8,000+ followers know where they’re going to be next. I’m told this often results in a crowded footpath, waiting for the truck to appear over the horizon.

Kogi have embraced other media too. They use photo sharing site, Flickr, to show recent photos, which they also display on their web site/blog.

This is a clever use of free tools to help market a business, as well as to keep in touch with customers (especially if Kogi end up running late).
